Science Curriculum
At Styal Primary School, our science curriculum encourages children to be curious about the world around them. Following the National Curriculum for England, we aim to develop pupils’ scientific knowledge and understanding through engaging, practical experiences and investigations. Children learn to ask questions, make predictions, observe carefully, carry out experiments and draw conclusions using evidence. They explore key areas of science, including plants, animals, humans, materials, forces, electricity and the wider world. Through science, we develop children’s critical thinking, problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for discovering how things work, preparing them to understand and explore the world around them.
