At Styal Primary School, our curriculum is purposeful, carefully planned and built around our children, our local environment and the community in which we live and learn. We aim to provide a rich and engaging learning experience that builds on children’s prior knowledge, develops their skills and prepares them for the next stage of their education. As a school with mixed-age classes, our curriculum is organised into a three-year cycle in EYFS and Key Stage 1, and a two-year cycle in Key Stage 2. This ensures that all children experience a broad and balanced curriculum, with opportunities to revisit and deepen their understanding as they progress through school. Our curriculum reflects the needs and interests of our pupils, making meaningful connections to our local area and providing opportunities for children to develop curiosity, confidence and a lifelong love of learning.
