Year 1/2 this week

This week we have been learning about Chinese New Year, we learnt about the origins of the celebrations and made Chinese lanterns. 

We have also been exploring the story of Jack and the Beanstalk - we created wanted posters to capture Jack as we felt he'd broke the law by stealing all of the ginat's things! We then put him on trial and found him guilty of his crimes.

In maths, our Year 1s have been practicing their methods for taking away whilst our Year 2's have been understanding how to identify equal groups.
