Year 6 Forest School in the rain!
Inspired by the weather today's task was to put up a survival shelter.
We discussed the important features, which the children identified as being:
Then we looked at different configerations - using a tree, using a stand alone tripod structure or using a centre line and then we discussed the importance of loaction.
The children then worked in 4 teams to put up their survival shelter.
The final task was to decide which one we would each choose if we were actually staying in it for the night!
