Jane Shaw
I am pleased to have the opportunity to take an active role as the Chair and learning and achievement Chair within a dedicated team of Governors for setting the school's vision, ethos and strategic direction that offers both support and challenge to the senior leadership team. Striving to assist the school to ensure that every child receives the best educational experience, benefiting from our unique environment that is supportive, friendly and safe, giving confidence to learn and enjoy learning. My son attended school and I live in the village. My professional training is as a Textile designer, working for many years within the manufacturing sector. I enjoy spending time with my family, anything 'Arty' and watching sport (but not playing it!) |

I am proud to have served on the governing body at Styal for over 10 years, during which time my 3 children (2 past, 1 current) benefit from the excellent work of the staff and the special ethos of the school. A former resident of Styal now living in the Wilmslow area, I have worked in the telecommunications industry for 25 years and currently hold a senior position at Vodafone Business, helping major multi-national organisations with their technology solutions. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, travelling, swimming, music, cinema and watching Manchester United. |

I have been working in Higher Education for the past 16 years, currently managing a Doctoral Training Partnership between 7 HE institutions and cultural partners in the North West.
