Welcome to Styal Primary School
Styal Primary School is unique and special in many ways. Staff, governors, parents and children work together to make a welcoming and friendly community.
The school is small with about a hundred pupils on roll and the strong family like atmosphere is evident as soon as you walk through the door.
We pride ourselves on knowing all our pupils well.
We have just updated this website and hope it gives you a taste of what the school can offer. We look forward to meeting you and your child
in person. Should you wish to discuss any aspects of the school please do not hesitate to contact us and if you have any comments on the website
please send them to our Webmaster, contact details are on the Homepage.

The School Location
Styal Primary School is especially fortunate in its surroundings and location, lying in 250 acres of woodland and countryside owned and conserved
by the National Trust. The setting is idyllic, away from traffic and pollution, in an environmentally protected area.
The Building
The school building dates back to 1823 when it was first built for the apprentice workers at Quarry Bank Mill. Continually updated and improved
the building features four teaching areas, an attractive hall and a fully equipped kitchen in which school lunches are prepared daily.
The Grounds
The school makes excellent use of its beautiful school grounds which include a private multi-sensory garden and wild-life area, shaded quiet
areas and an outdoor Keep-fit Trim Trail.
Ethos
The school provides a full and balanced curriculum which encourages children to enjoy their learning and develop positive attitudes about
themselves whilst caring for others. Learning is at the heart of our school and we aim to ensure that all children recognise and value their achievements.
Expectations
Our expectations of children are high. We encourage all pupils to develop to their full potential and we offer a wide range of educational opportunities
and extra-curricular activities in order to promote individual talents and expertise. We promote self discipline, excellent behaviour and a high level
of independence and self confidence. It is our aim to create enthusiastic learners who look forward to coming to our school.
