The School Location

Styal Primary School is especially fortunate in its surroundings and location, lying in 250 acres of woodland and countryside owned and conserved by the National Trust. The setting is idyllic, away from traffic and pollution, in an environmentally protected area.

The Building

The school building dates back to 1823 when it was first built for the apprentice workers at Quarry Bank Mill. Continually updated and improved the building features four teaching areas, an attractive hall and a fully equipped kitchen in which school lunches are prepared daily.

The Grounds

The school makes excellent use of its beautiful school grounds which include a private multi-sensory garden and wild-life area, shaded quiet areas and an outdoor Keep-fit Trim Trail.

The school provides a full and balanced curriculum which encourages children to enjoy their learning and develop positive attitudes about themselves whilst caring for others. Learning is at the heart of our school and we aim to ensure that all children recognise and value their achievements.
