Healthy Lifestyles
Being active is a key part of Styal Primary School's ethos. We encourage children and staff to be active as part of supporting our mental health and wellbeing. Being active is one of the NHS' Five Steps to Wellbeing.
At Styal School we strive to equip our children with real skills for life, this includes promoting healthy lifestyles. We do this in many different ways through:
Forest school - problem solving, team building, engaging with nature and being active
Healthy cooking skills - growing food, understanding what healthy food is and cooking for themselves
Being active - the Daily Mile, walks into Styal, circuit training, active lunchtimes and a range of sporting opportunities. Or Games Makers create weekly exercise challnges to help the whole school to maintain an active lifestyle.
