Allotment Club
ALLOTMENT CLUB
Thursday 3:30 - 4:30 with Mrs Bellshaw
We have our very own allotment bed in the Apprentice House Garden! Ann (who is in charge of the Apprentice House Garden) works with us each week to share her expertise and help us to decide what we want to grow!
Our long term plan is to be able to use our produce in the food served at lunch time and also to sell some of it in Earlams, the community shop!
Here are some of the things we have done since the club started:
- Collect windfall apples
- Make wormeries
- Plant strawberry plants
- Make an Allotment Club scrapbook
- Plant bulbs in the school grounds
- Collect leaves to make leaf mold
- Prepare the beds for planting
- Plant broad beans
- Split and plant snowdrop bulbs
September 17th - our first Allotment Club of the year!
Today we worked in the Forest School area and did some general tidying, weeding and pruning. We used pull saws and secateurs to help us!
